It has now been proved that one cannot get addicted to games. Even the individuals who started a rehab centre in Amsterdam for treatment of video game addiction have come to the conclusion that gaming is not the issue, rather the problem lies somewhere else.
Keith Baker, the founder of this rehab clinic says that ninety percent of children that they are treating are not addicted to gaming though the symptoms are somewhat similar to other addictions.

However, now since they have worked upon many patients, Baker believes it is because of the children feeling isolated due to their parents and school and also social frustration which often lead the young people to endorse themselves into consoles. If games are considered to be tools for escape and not the cause, then we should find out ways by which we can start helping kids who are struggling.
