Unlike other games, Nintendo did pretty well on sales in the month of July. Its Wiis were selling as well as its DS. They just didn’t sell a bit, they sold a lot! About 49% of console sales in the month of July were taken up by Nintendo’s Wii. The DS consisted of 73% of handheld sales.

This amazing Nintendo popularity kept going on, despite the fact that hardware sales had taken a big plunge in that month. It was quite unexpected that Nintendo would keep up its dales figures even at such times… but it did… and this shows the popularity of Nintendo with game players.
