The Metal Way 01/19/2009

Not able to keep the good news to themselves, members of Metallica themselves just spilled the beans. Via their official website, tucked away in a non-imposing blog, an undisclosed member of the band (or poser PR staff member) revealed that Guitar Hero: Metallica will be hitting retail shelves in North America on March 29. The date applies only to those picking up the Guitar Hero tribute for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Those of you in other territories will be able to get your mitts on the title in early May. Unless you plan on picking up the game for the Nintendo Wii or PlayStation 2.
As a refresher, in Guitar Hero: Metallica you will be able to play with your instrument of choice, or in full band mode. The title features 28 Metallica songs complemented by the infamous’ bands pick of their favorite artists. Bonus artists include Alice in Chains, the Foo Fighters, Slayer, Machine Head and Queen.
